Hi there! This is Joaquin, from Colombia. I'm an Industrial Designer, MBA focused in research, consumer behavior and branding. I am here at the CICS because for several years I have felt the call to contribute to the purpose of building a better, more equitable and fair world for all of us who inhabit this beautiful planet.
I feel that the CICD is the first step towards solving the question that I have been asking myself for many years: How can I help? and that the "system" in which we live does not offer many ways to solve it for ourselves. Being here is a privilege; living in a community is a lifestyle that we should all have the opportunity to experience at some point and to internalize it in order to open our minds.
Putting our skills, knowledge, energy and experience at the service of a community is one of the best ways I have known to "break the wheel", to evolve as human beings, to continue growing and to make changes that transform our lives while we learn from the people around us and with whom we live every day.
I am now part of the Gaia team and starting in February I will be in the 10-month program where I will be acquiring the tools and knowledge to become a Development Instructor and continue with this life-changing experience to generate a positive impact on society.
