Hello hello!! My name is Carla and I am Spanish, born in the cold winter of 1995.
I am one of those who thinks that the future lies in the people who want to discover, add new experiences and continue learning every day. I believe in the power of the people, and in the power of the community.
I got to know about CICD for the first time in 2019.
I first did my Gaia program and then joined the 12 month team. And yes, I am one of those who was lucky and COVID caught me away from home, but unfortunately I had to bring my return trip early and spend time in quarantine in my native country.
After this, I really wanted to finish my project so I went back to school, took up Gaia again and joined the Climate Change team, with the idea of carrying out the program on a paradisiacal Caribbean island; which I couldn't go to either due to natural disasters. Will I be lucky one day to be able to finish my project? Hahaha
Despite all this, although I did not have the opportunity to finish my service, I learned a lot from these experiences and I feel very fulfilled and happy to have had the opportunity. I value what I have experienced and the people I have met along this path.
I have always felt a 'special call' for wanting to return home, to CICD.
For now I am left with the challenge of working without feeling that I am working, being the teacher of the 10-month team.
