Moin! My name is Jule and I’m from the northern part of Germany.

I’m very excited to be part of the 10-month programme volunteering in Africa at CICD. I have always enjoyed working with people, especially children and young adults, and I enjoy teaching, encouraging others, and learning through shared experiences.
Besides my everyday life, I volunteer on a ship, where I have learned the importance of teamwork, flexibility, and diversity that it takes to make an impact in the world. Meeting people from different cultures has shown me how valuable cultural exchange can be and how much we can learn from one another.

I decided to join this programme because I want to use my skills to support and encourage others while also stepping out of my comfort zone and grow as a person. I’m looking forward to experience a new culture, build meaningful relationships, and learn about everyday life in a completely different part of the world. At the same time, I hope to share my own culture and experiences and make a positive contribution to the community.

I believe that true learning happens when people connect with open minds and open hearts. I’m grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see what this journey will bring.
