October 2025 - Volunteer for Change Programme

Hello friends, I’m Alejandra from Colombia.
I’m a sanitary engineer and I love nature with all its landscapes, animals, flowers, and colors. I’ve always dreamed of taking actions that transform my life and the lives of others, of having more contact with nature and challenging my own limits, and here at CICD, the doors are open to that dream.

I joined CICD in July of this year, and during my first months here, I will support the Gaia team in the Promotion area. Through this, we seek to highlight community life at the college, as well as the educational and fun activities experienced during the process. Thanks to the Gaia scholarship, participating in the development volunteer program is possible for me. Gaia students have the opportunity to support projects that raise new funding for CICD operations, so more people can train as climate activists or development volunteers, creating networks of support and cooperation.

Coming here has been a challenge, and now staying here means that every day is full of lessons, new things, and wonderful people, and that my knowledge of myself and the world becomes increasingly richer. I invite you to read my story and that of other students.
