Hi, my name is Helene. I’m 24 years old and from Germany. I was looking for a new challenge, a fresh experience, and knowledge that truly feels meaningful — and I found it here.
I’m part of the seven-month Climate Activist Program, currently spending the first three months in England focused on learning and preparation. After that, we’ll head to St. Vincent in the Caribbean for three months to put our knowledge into practice. The final month is dedicated to sharing what we’ve learned with others.

Before coming to England, I didn’t have many expectations — but even if I had, they would have been surpassed. Life and learning here are completely different from what you experience in traditional schools.
I feel incredibly grateful to be part of this inspiring team. People of all ages and backgrounds come together here, learning not only about the world but also about responsibility — for ourselves, for each other, and for the communities we live in. We learn to share, to collaborate, and to grow together.

In just the first few weeks, I’ve already learned so much about climate change, self-sufficiency, medicinal herbs, different cultures and critical thinking. What makes this place truly special is that it encourages free and independent thought, open dialogue, initiative, and creativity.
If you’re looking for a challenge, a new beginning, or a hands-on way of learning — or if you simply want to grow mentally and intellectually — then CICD might be exactly what you’re searching for. Come and experience it for yourself.
